Is there a natural remedy or treatment for my cat allergies?

We want to get our daughter a cat, because shes love them so much. But I’m kind of allergic, but not violently. And an outside cat in our area isnt an option. I can go to a friends house where there are cats and be fine as long as I dont touch my eyes or sit on anything with lots of fur on it. But I’m used to being careful. With my own cat, I would like to be able to hold and pet it without worrying about all the dander flying in my face. I would prefer not to take normal allergy meds, all that I have tried make me sleepy, even "non-drowsy" ones. Plus I’m not fond of the idea of taking a drug everyday. Does anyone know of any natural allergy treatments? I’ve seen them for plant allergies, but do they work for pet allergies, or is there a different thing for that? Also, is there an allergy shot that you can get?

Use two drops of peppermint essential oil on the back of your neck twice a day. This works for 98% of the people I’ve recommended it to. Test-drive this remedy at your friend’s house before letting your daughter get a cat, just in case you’re part of the 2%. You should be able to buy a bottle at the health food store for less than $15usd. Just make sure it’s 100% pure essential oil. Please feel free to email me with any questions.

What are some natural treatment options when the hypothalamus gland is not functioning properly?

Suffering fatigue, body ache, sleep disturbance, general unwellness. Nontraditional medical practitioners have determined hypothalamus is the root problem, but treatments have not been effective.
Have tried glandulars, chiro adjustments, cleanses, various nutritional supplements too numerous to recall, anti-yeast diet.

Could you tell us what you’ve tried that has not worked?

I’m curious if light therapy could help — for example, getting out into sunlight.

I have been diagnose with fibromyalgia and Osteoarthritis. Does anyone use a natural treatment that helps?

I wake up many times during the night in pain. My joints and muscles hurt from head to toe most of the time. I stay tired all the time. My iron level stays low. I am currently on prescribe medication which only helps a little. I really do not like to take medicine and especially when the doctors tells me I have to be on it for the rest of my life. I have tried several different natural remedies but nothing seems to work. I was hoping someone else with these diagnoses has found the miracle cure for this. Thank you and wish you always with good health.

Malic Acid, or Vanadyl Sulfate, Lots of Magnesium. You should also get massages, I mean REAL massages not the Foofy Foofy kind.

Are there any natural treatment for a cat w/ a bladder infection?

my cat who never had any spraying problems in the past started to randomly spray. the cat is fixed. the vet told us he had a bladder infection because in his pee it was kinda pink. he gave us antibacterial medicine but it didn’t seem to help. what else can i do for the cat that is natural that will work?

I have heard of people trying some form of cranberry, or even applejuice. From my recollection, they’ve all come back when the problem gets worse.
– Not all bacteria respond to all antibiotics. You may need to have the urine sent out for a culture & sensitivity to determine what sort of bacteria are growing, and what they’ll respond to, or your vet may decide to try something a little more broad-spectrum.
– Severe infections often require a second round of antibiotics. If there is blood present, chances are the infection was enough to be considered "severe".
– You absolutely need to do a urinalysis. Blood in the urine means very little without assessing the pH, presence of skin cells, prescence of crystals, ketones, protein, white blood cells, specific gravity… the list goes on. Infections often cause a change in the pH, which creates crystals. Many crystals need to be treated with a diet change, and medications to either basify or acidify the urine (depend on the pH).
The problem may be greater than a UTI, which is why a urinalysis is so important. Kidney damage is a possibility, as is bladder stones. Epithelia in the sediment on the UA would determine if the kidneys may be involved, while crystals in the urine and lack of response to antibiotics may indicate stones.

In male cats, I cannot express how carefully you need to approach the sitation of UTIs. Crystals in the urine can collect, turn in to plugs, and "block" the bladder. This leads to kidney damage, and if not treated quickly death. If at any time you see him straining without producing urine, call your vet and get him in right away - it is ALWAYS an emergency.

Is there a home treatment of natural antibiotics for dogs for kennel cough?

I just got a puppy from the pound and he had kennel cough, I took him back and they said that there is no treatment for this. They did give him antibiotics for a possible secondary infection but kennel cough has to run its course much like a humas virus has to. They did say I can use Robitussin DM for the coughing symptoms. The puppy is fine but now my older dog has it, the vet said we have to let it run its course but she looks so miserable. I am giving her robitussin but I want to give her a boost of natural antibiotics that are safve for dogs. I did get some drops from the health food store but they do not have any antibiotic properties.

HELP! Thanks

With the rubitussin it should only last a few days. I do use lysol spray all around the house. They will sneeze when you first spray it.

What is a safe, maybe natural, treatment for my acne and being around my 7-month-old?

I am worried I will my son will put his mouth on my face or put his hands on my face and then in his mouth after I have used the Proactiv or something and it will make him sick! What is safe and is there anything natural that really works for acne?

I doubt that would happen - Keep in mind it takes only a few moments to absorb in to your skin -

If you feel uneasy use Berts Bee products. I am not sure they will work as well for you - and no real ‘at home’ remedies are strong enough for acne.

Alternative Natural Acne Treatments That Work For You Now

The problem with most acne treatments and acne products is that not everyone reacts the same way to the same treatment; what worked for one may not work for another. There is hope — keep researching, learning and testing and you’ll find the right treatment for you. The key to healthy, clear skin is to choose a skin care regimen that’s right for you based on the type of acne condition you have.

Acne vulgaris is most commonly experienced around puberty, typically of the face, shoulders and chest. While almost all young people experience acne at least once, it’s been reported that 47% of those in their 20s and 30% of those in their 30s had acne. Nearly 80 percent of people from ages 11 to 30 years have acne, most often on the face, chest and back. Most pimples are found on the face, neck, back, chest, and shoulders.

Acne, zits, pimples, blackheads, whiteheads and many other skin disorders are usually, but not always, the result of a bad diet. As time goes by, more research may help determine just how male and female hormones influence acne and the role diet plays. I think the cause of acne is related to our acidic, inflammatory ’standard American diet’ (SAD) and that would also influence all of our hormones including stress hormones. Experts just can’t agree on what causes acne.

You want to avoid squeezing, pinching, picking or popping your pimples because it can cause scars or leave dark spots on your skin. One treatment method some people have used is applying cornstarch, egg whites or milk of magnesia as a facial mask. Too many chemicals can strip your skin of its natural oils and the skin will overproduce oil to compensate for it, blocking your pores and causing more acne.

Acne and its treatment is one of the most misunderstood topics there is when it comes to acne skin care. This is a little messy but you can try making a paste by mixing three tablespoons of honey and one teaspoon of cinnamon together and applying the paste on your pimples at bedtime for two weeks, and wash it off each morning; honey has anti-bacterial action - a cheap, natural home remedy. Try applying a thin layer of coconut oil and massaging it deep into the skin to heal and soothe the affected area.

Never underestimate the healing, restorative power of a good night’s sleep. Remember, that even the most gentle and natural products you might use to clean your face can leave your skin a bit dry; use coconut oil as an excellent way to re-hydrate the skin after using any acne commercial or natural cleanser. Try not to touch your affected skin to eliminate possible contamination.

Use exercise such as Yoga and Tai Chi to improve blood flow to the skin and support the healing process; it also boosts the condition of your internal organs which allows them to eliminate toxins more effectively. Any makeup you use should list on the label non-acnegenic or non-comedogenic. It bears repeating, you want to be good to your skin and never pop or squeeze a pimple no matter how tempting.

Since the latest research indicates a connection between stress and acne, make an effort to cut down on stress any way you can. Shave carefully and try both electric and safety razors to see which works best for you.

Acne scars can give the skin an aging look. Severe, inflamed, cystic acne always leaves scars after healing. Healed acne leaves scars in some people however, and it isn’t easy to predict who will end up with scars after an acne outbreak and who won’t.

Some alternative doctors recommend eating a raw clove of garlic daily for acne; you can chop one up and add it to your daily salad! In any case, no matter what skin or acne treatment you choose, whether it’s chemical, drugs, alternative, or natural methods, changing your diet alone will be the best treatment you can do for your acne and you’ll achieve overall good health in the process.

People with skin disorders such as acne, rosacea, and psoriasis often suffer from constipation; if you are, make sure you’re drinking lots of water every day and add more natural fiber from raw fruits to your diet.

The best acne treatment is a diet that will help the body eliminate waste; if you’re eating the standard American diet (SAD) it’ll be reflected in your skin. Drink lots and lots of pure, filtered water every day.

For an easy fiber boost, mix in two tablespoons of ground up flaxseeds into raw applesauce, from two to three apples, made in your food processor. Eat foods that contain essential fatty acids. Eating foods with essential fatty acids are particularly important to people with dry skin or acne.

Consider taking cod liver oil or fish oil supplements every day. Eating fruits that are red or orange in color will help improve you skin health and help to prevent acne. Good nutrition will help your skin from the inside out.

Put two tablespoons of coconut oil in your all fruit smoothies and blend. When the skin is dehydrated, dead skin cells remain on the skin which may block pores and promote acne; drink plenty of water.

Unclean skin favors the development of pathogenic organisms; the dead cells continually slough off of the epidermis and mix with the secretions of the sweat and sebaceous glands and the dust found on the skin, to form a layer on its surface. Sunlight, water and air play an important role in keeping the skin healthy.

One should always think about cheaper, alternative, natural, effective treatment methods to get the best cure or solution to their acne, zits, pimples and blackhead problems. Don’t give up - try everything you can until you get relief from your acne. By simply following a plan you’ve developed for yourself and sticking with it, you can reduce the severity of your acne or even eliminate it entirely.

what are the natural treatment for dry hair?

can you pls help me with my dry hair… after i went to salon last two weeks for rebonding my hair and change the color.. i found it dry the next three days and i really hate it. i went for a treatment also on salon but nothing change… i want to try natural treatment like olive oil, fruits, eggs and even mayonaise. do u know some natural treatment that can help my dry hair? i think my hair is really tired of chemicals… pls help me…

For dry hair pls try these hot oil massages….they will help in maintaing the natural sheen of your hair and will also condition your hair:

Hot oil massages: Warm 2 tsp. of olive oil and 2 tsp. coconut oil and gently massage every part of the scalp for 10-15 minutes. Rinse a towel in hot water, wipe and wind the hair around the head as it cools. Repeat 2 or 3 times to issue total saturation. After that, shampoo and rinse well. It is good for brittle dry hair.

Hot Caster oil massage: Warm ½ cup of castor oil, massage into scalp and gently comb it. Bind the hair with hot towel on the head, wait for 30 minutes. Shampoo and rinse. As it is home made is so good to use for scanty hair.

Clove oil honey massage. Stir well ½ cup of green olive oil with 1 cup of liquid honey. Shake vigorously. Keep the mixture to settle for a day or two. Massage into the scalp and comb it not touching the scalp. After massaging cover hair with plastic shower cap. Make it air tight to let the heat penetrate, leave like that for 20 to 30 minutes. Then shampoo and rinse well. It is good for dark hair to keep it shining and lustrous.

Take care !
