People Are Living Their Lives Without Knowing, Spotting, Or Treating Gum Infection
Due to the many case of gum disease not reported to the dentist because of the fact that people are living their lives without knowing it, without spotting it and without treating it, tooth loss has become prevalent. Yes, gum disease knows no age and is found to be a silent disease afflicting many people regardless of gender, age or status. Gum disease started from the build up of plaque and ends in a tooth or teeth loss experience when left untreated. However, carrying the gum disease for a long duration of time, gum infection that causes pus and permanently engages the body's immune system, and by which is not good for overall or optimal health, even before gingivitis develops into its more severe manifestation, periodontal disease. When the inflammation goes beyond the gums and reaches the bone that hold the teeth, we already speak of advanced periodontal disease called periodontitis instead of gingivitis.
